Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch between devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. view publisher site spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood, though we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

These can be set via the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine.
